Ilene Miwa Obituary

Ilene Miwa passed away in Alhambra, CA on September 14, 2009. She was born in Taft on July 22, 1930 and attended grammar school in Taft until she and her family were relocated to a Relocation Center in Parker, AZ in early 1942. After the war, she and her family returned to Taft where she finished high school. Shortly afterwards, she moved to the Los Angeles area where she worked as a legal secretary for more than 50 years. She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Masao and George. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Ruth Miwa of San Jose and Ann Miwa of Taft; as well as two nephews and three nieces. A private funeral service and interment will be held in the West Side District Cemetery. There are no visitation hours scheduled and the arrangements are under the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
