Richard Wayne McDonel

Dick was born Nov. 24, 1933 in Ohio and passed away Mar. 4, 2018 in Bakersfield, Ca. He is preceded in death by his wife Jean, his brother Ed, his children Connie Parker, Kevin McDonel, and Scott McDonel. He is survived by his sister Janet Stalling, his son Rick McDonel (Cathy), numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Alyeen Hawkins and her family for the friendship, love and support they showed Dick for the last 14 years. Dick moved to Taft in the mid 1950's and went on to work in the oil fields until he retired from Santa Fe Oil Co. His life passion was riding Motorcycles (Harley Davidson). A Viewing will be held at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM on Monday March 12th followed by a graveside service at 2 PM at the West Side District Cemetery in Taft, Ca.
