Vickie left broken hearts as she went to be with the LORD whom she dearly loved and honored in her life, Vickie was born in Evens, CO. to Henry and Beth Rau, Bauer on May 7, 1948. She passed from this life due to unforeseen circumstances undergoing surgery Saturday, October 20, 2018 in Bakersfield CA. She was a member of the Harvest Church in Bakersfield.

Vickie had a great love for life and especially that in which she shared with the love of her life and husband of 45 years, Ron. Vickie and Ron shared many adventures travelling throughout the United States and several Countries for his job, wherever their travels took them she was readily accepted and made many new friends and acquaintances. Although she was unable to have children of her own, she was able to experience the joys of motherhood with her stepdaughters Rannie and Kelli, and was grandma to 3 Granddaughters and 7 Great Grandchildren. She was known to a host of Nephews’ and Nieces’ as “Auntie”. Vickie also had a love and passion for; and was rarely seen without one of her many dogs in tote.

Vickie is survived by her husband Ron, her step-daughters Rannie Wright, of Bakersfield CA. Kellie (Dan) Self, of Windsor Co. three Granddaughters and seven Great Grandchildren. Brother Joel (Connie) Bauer, of Taft CA. Sisters; Leslie (Glen) Mussman, Sharla (Albert) Nedrich, of Greeley CO. Sister-in-law Judy Brown, of Taft CA. and a plethora of Nieces and Nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Henry Rau, Beth (Harold) Bauer her sister and brother-in-law Gavonne and Gary Broyles, her brother James Rau, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Patricia and Claude Bonner, brother-in-law Thomas Brown, Sister-in-law Norma Crane, sister-in-law Suzy Becker, brother-in-law George Maddox, nephew Marvin Brown.
