Alberta Ruth (Phebus) McCracken

Passed away on Sunday, August 15, in Bakersfield, California at the age of 97 years and 11 months.

Alberta was born September 15, 1923 to Samuel Phebus and Anabel Lynch in Monmouth, California, Fresno County. She married Calvin Everett McCracken in Tonopah, Nye County, Nevada on December 28, 1939. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years. Her daughter Ruth Ann Moore and husband Mike and son-in-law, Gary L. Wheeler. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Jean Cawelti and husband John. Her daughter Connie Wheeler. Also, four grandchildren, Ten Great Grandchildren and Seven Great, Great Grandchildren. She was strong in her faith and belonged to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She was a wonderful inspiration to her family and friends. She will be missed by all.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 19th from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at the West Side District Cemetery on Friday, August 20th at 10 AM.
