Arlene Davis Obituary

Arlene Alys Davis (Madoche)

Arlene “Leanie” entered this world at 7:15AM. on April 20th, 1984 to her dear parents Alan Bernard Madoche and Betty Jane Claflin in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin. Arlene recalled having a wonderful childhood and had shared many stories with her family. Arlene married the love of her life Ray J Davis on a beautiful Valentines Day in 1970 in Las Vegas Nevada. They were married for 52 years.

Arlene was a diligent woman who learned early on from her father what hard work was. She worked her way up from a bank teller to vice president of Great Western’s Taft first branch and later retired to be closer to her grandchildren. She enjoyed her weekly trips to the Chumash casino with her husband Ray and granddaughter Cyerra where she’d win her free gifts and dominate the Keno machines. She loved finding unique plants that she would cut down and try to cultivate in her own backyard. Arlene was one of a kind. She always puts others’ needs before her own. She’s charitable, selfless, and had a silly sense of humor. She was the rock and the backbone of her family and she will be missed by all who have come to know her.

Arlene’s time of death was declared Tuesday morning on September 14th, 2021. She was 73 years old when she passed. A couple of weeks prior to her death she was able to travel to Wisconsin to visit with her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alan Madoche and Betty Jane Claflin, her sister Lynn Yarbrough and Lynn’s husband Bill Yarbrough, her brother Robert “Happy” Madoche and his wife Paula Madoche, her mother/father-in-law Iveda Ruth and Johnny Deleon, brother-in-law Kenneth Davis, and sister-in-law Sharon Davis as well as her best friend Dee Goodwin.

Survived by many whose love for her will never dwindle include but are not limited to: her husband Ray J Davis, daughter and son-in-law Cameron and Jeff Van Winkle, son Jeffery Davis, grandchildren Alyssa and her husband James King and their child Khloe King, Mackenzie Van Winkle, Kyrsten, Cyerra, Savannah, and Mason Davis. Also surviving Leanie are her sister-in-laws Shelly Davis and Judy Ables, sister and brother-in-law Diane and Pete Beyer, brother and sister-in-law Glenn and Kay Madoche, and lastly her brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Kay Madoche.
