Bobby Rex Jacobs is now resting in peace as of June 21, 2016. He passed away quietly in his sleep in the comfort of his own home. May God rest his soul. Bobby was born and raised in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on December 15, 1949. His parents, which whom are now deceased were Soloman and Savilla Jacobs of Oklahoma. In 1954 he moved to California and enlisted in the US Army, serving three years in Vietnam; proudly and courageously protecting the freedom of this country. After being Honorably discharged he resided in Maricopa, Taft and eventually Bakersfield, CA, making it a place he called home. Bobby worked in the oilfields and for Johnny Cat Litter Co in Taft for five years. Bobby was a simple man, a good ol' boy with the biggest heart. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and women. Bobby "Sauvy Bite'em on the Butt" Jacobs, as we called him, you are a true hero, never to be forgotten. You will be truly missed with all our love. Until we meet again R.I.P. Bobby was survived by his son, Bobby Jacobs Jr. of New Jersey; brother Bennie Britt and siblings Melanie, David and Diane of Bakersfield, CA; sister Josephine Clayborn and siblings Mike, Jerry and Linda of Oklahoma. Viewing will be Wednesday, June 29th from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Erickson & Brown Funeral Home. 501 Lucard St, Taft, CA. Services will be held Thursday, June 30th at 1:00 P.M. at West Side District Cemetery, 440 E. Cedar St, Taft.
