Candace "Candy" Marie Vaughn

Candy (Candace) Marie Vaughn of Taft, CA, age 62, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015. She is survived by her husband, Marvin; two sons, Daniel and Ryan; and her brother, Christopher Randolph Soares. Candy was born in Lemoore, CA and moved to Taft when she was 16 years old where she attended Taft High School and went on to obtain her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Fresno State College. Candy's many accomplishments include being a fantastic mother and teacher to her two sons and being the CCD Director for St. Mary's Catholic Church. Her Catholic faith and her boundless love for her family were the most important aspects of her life. She lived her faith devoutly and loved generously. Though her sudden passing leaves many grieving, the memory of her joyous life of service inspires us to kindness and generosity even in this season of tears. Viewing for Candy will be on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, December 21, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taft, followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Msgr. Ronald J. Swett. Burial will be in the West Side District Cemetery after the Mass.
