Carol Sue Wilson

A graveside funeral service will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. for Taft resident, Carol Sue Wilson, 77. Mrs. Wilson was born on April 26, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio and passed away on August 30, 2016 in Bakersfield, CA. Mrs. Wilson spent many years working as a waitress while raising four daughters and three step-sons. She enjoyed spending time with her family along with crafting, fishing and spending her summers volunteering at Lake San Antonio with her husband, James. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Sadie Haines; husband, James Wilson; brother, Billy Haines; step-sons, Tim and Darwin Wilson; and great-grandson, Matthew Anglin. She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Worrell, Mary Meeks and Rebecca Maursky all of Arizona; son, Mike Flippen of Bakersfield; her daughters, Julie Cooley and Cherie Anglin of Taft, Lori Jones of Oklahoma and Amy Kerper of Utah; along with 20 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Monday, September 5, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
