Carolyn Louise Fuller

Carolyn Louise Fuller, aged 83, of Taft California, passed away unexpectedly on May 15, 2025.  She was born August 6, 1941 in Taft, California and moved to Orange County, Ca in the mid 1960’s, after her marriage, to raise her family.  She eventually moved to Simi Valley in 1979. In 1994 she returned to Taft where she resided until she passed.

Carolyn was predeceased by her mother and father, Harold and Marjorie Cawelti and her brother David Cawelti.  She leaves behind her son and daughter, Lance Fuller and Heather Fuller, her son in love, Art Bell, her grandson Matthew Fuller, her brother and sister in-law, John and Barbara Cawelti, 15 nieces and nephews and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

When her two children were young, Carolyn dedicated her time as a loving and supportive homemaker, cub scout and girl scout leader and eventually bookkeeper of the family business, Goodyear. Multiple business locations kept her busy travelling between Simi Valley and Taft, all while maintaining the household and family needs in true multi tasker fashion.  After her move back to Taft, she worked at the telephone company before she retired. After retirement she spent countless hours volunteering. First, her time was spent at the Taft hospital gift shop and blood pressure clinic. After that closed, she spent several years at the West Kern Oil Museum where she worked the gift shop, rummage sales, Christmas teas, and bookkeeping. During her life she enjoyed reading books, baking and making jellies, camping and fishing, gardening in her yard, going to the casinos and travelling with friends and family. She was always smiling and friendly to those whom she met and helpful to people who could not do for themselves. Overall, a very loving person who thought of others first and foremost. She will be greatly missed and this world has lost a precious presence amongst us.

Her family would like you to join them on June 23rd, 2025 at Westside Cemetery in Taft, Ca. for graveside services (11:00 am) immediately followed by her Celebration of Life and luncheon at West Kern Oil Museum. Donations in her memory should be sent to St. Jude, Tunnels for Towers or West Kern Oil Museum in Taft.
