Don Sikes

Don was born in Paris, Arkansas on November 27, 1924, and he went to be with the Lord on August 9, 2016. Don loved Jesus, his wife, his family, and his friends in that order. Don is survived by his wife and sweetheart of 69 1/2 years, Louise, daughters Jennifer Johnson (Harold), Vicki Carlson (Craig), and Sheryl Matthews (Dennis), 9 grandchildren plus 8 grand spouses, 14 great grandchildren plus 1 great grand spouse, and 2 great great grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by all 5 of his siblings, one grandson, and one great grandson. Don's service will be held at Erickson & Brown Funeral Home 501 Lucard St., Taft, CA on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to Crossroads Christian Fellowship in Bakersfield, CA. "But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body."
