Ernestine Hall Obituary

Tina was born on September 5, 1941 in Durant, Oklahoma. Her family relocated to Kern County when she was a young child. While raising her family in Taft, Tina worked at Ford City Emporium, then owned and operated TC's Wet Pets, and was known and loved by many as the fun-loving employee at Artz Deli for many, many years until she retired in 2003. She loved to sew, crochet, garden, and rescuing and raising animals of all kinds. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In the last few years of her life, she loved nothing more than watching her family grow and her great-grandchildren became the light of her life. Tina was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Brown and Frankie Shelton; her sister, Eva Shugrue; and her adoring husband, Garrold Hall in 2008. Tina is survived by her children, Della and Forrest Fisher, Kathryn and Rick Shaffer, Donna Villa, and Lester and Donna Carpenter; her grandchildren, Lavonda and Bron Sanders, Lachelle and Jason Scott, Zach and Sadee Fisher, Tina and Ron Odom, Tiffany Shaffer, Christopher Yeates, Craig Yeates, Steven Yeates, and Marie and Victor Wilson; her great-grandchildren, Hudson, Chelsea, Madison, Abby, Parker, Gage, Kevin, Tina, Brad, Kaitlyn, Cameron, Hunter, Brylee, MyKenna, Blaize, Isaiah, Faith, Trinity, and Victor Jr.; her brother, Hank Brown and his wife Glenna; her cousin and friend, Thelma Ruth Hale; and her dear friend of over 55 years, Darlene Sanford of Bakersfield. Tina passed away on March 21, 2016 in Bakersfield, with her family by her side. After battling a non-cancerous brain tumor for several months, her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her honor to the National Brain Tumor Society or the American Brain Tumor Society to aid in the research of brain tumor treatments. The family is having a private celebration of life in her honor.
