She sold Mary Kay products and put her artistic flair to work while employed for a few years at a Coalinga Floral Shop. She was a waitress at the brand new Cambridge Restaurant in Coalinga during part of her younger years, and made many friends while working as a clerk at the Cambridge Motel during her later years. She loved visiting with the guests and was a favorite among many weary travelers.
After Geneva retired, she became very busy as an officer and later president of the Coalinga Art Association. She became close friends with her fellow Art Association members and enthusiastically embraced all the art activities for many years.
Geneva continued to live in Coalinga until 2011, when she relocated to Taft, to be near her daughter. Geneva resided in the Buena Vista Mobile Home Park in Taft until her passing.
