James L. Rogers

Funeral services will be held in the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. for Taft resident, James Lester Rogers, 53. Mr. Rogers was born in Newhall on August 5, 1962 and passed away in Bakersfield on September 30, 2015. He had lived in Taft for the last 25 years. Mr. Rogers had been employed as a truck driver in the oilfields of Kern County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a big NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phylis Rogers. His survivors include his father, Lester Rogers and his wife, Carol; his wife, Julie Pinkley-Rogers; his children, Joshua Rogers and his fiance, Brandon Maynard; Jamie Rogers and her fiance, Chris Rigby; Karl Rogers, Christie Rogers and her husband, Kyle Taylor and Christian Pinkley; his brothers, Jack Rogers and his wife, Theresa and Gene Rogers; his three grandchildren and one on the way and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. No visitation hours have been scheduled.
