Jann LaRue Hardin passed from this life on June 8th, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born in Comanche, Oklahoma on Wednesday May 15th, 1935. At age ten she moved from Comanche to Taft, California. She met the love of her life Robert Lester Hardin at Taft Union High School. They were married on Valentine's Day of 1953. Later they moved to Valley Acres where they bought their very first home. There they welcomed their first child Jeffrey Lester, followed by Elizabeth Ann 3 years later. She worked for the schools for over 40 years retiring in 1995. Over the years she and Bob visited England, Ireland, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Greece, Italy, and the Panama Canal. She also enjoyed her girls trips to places such as Australia and various spots in Mexico. While at home she loved baking, cleaning to her jazz music, and making breakfast for her great grandchildren Jadyn and Mahaila, making sure they got to school and had home made lunches. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her loving husband of 68 years. She leaves behind son Jeff (wife Sami), daughter Liz, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. She will be tremendously missed and loved always.
