Jeffrey Mark Sweaney

A memorial service will be held in New Hope Temple, A Place To Connect on Thursday September 1, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. for Jeffrey Mark Sweaney, 61. Mr. Sweaney was born in Taft on November 29, 1954 and passed away at his Bakersfield home on August 29, 2016. He was raised and educated in Taft and had been employed in the local oilfields for over 30 years. He truly enjoyed music; a variety of music. He played in four different bands and was a lead guitar player and produced a CD entitled "Rock Fish Have You Heard The News." Mr. Sweaney was preceded in death by his parents, Kathleen "Kathy" and C.B. Sweaney; his two brothers, Randy and Tim Sweaney. His survivors include his wife of 34 years, Michelle Sweaney; his son, Benjamin Sweaney; his daughter, Alesis Sweaney; his grandchildren, Raizel Johnson, Willow and Gabriel Martinez, and Brian Williams; his sister and her husband, Judy and Bob Hall; his brothers, Stan Sweaney and his wife, Pam, Greg, Scott and Gary Sweaney and a host of friends and band members.
