June Howard Obituary
A graveside funeral service will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. for longtime Taft resident, June Howard, 98. Mrs. Howard was born on August 4, 1917 in Marshall County, Alabama and passed away on January 15, 2016 in Bakersfield. She was sweet, positive, supportive, nonjudgmental and adored her family. Mrs. Howard had the best laugh, beautiful eyes, bright smile and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jesse Howard; her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Bill Kofahl; her son, Dana Howard and grandson, Jim Kofahl. She is survived by her granddaughter and her husband, Jan and Sonny Pollard of Taft; her other son, James Hargrove of New Jersey; her great-grandchildren, Ryan and Meaghan Pollard, Craig and Ellie Pollard and Jessica and Scott Harper all of Bakersfield; her 7 great-great-grandsons; and by many other loving family and friends. The family would like to thank Optimal Hospice and Pacifica Senior Living for all their loving care and compassion. There are no visitation hours scheduled and the arrangements are under the direction of the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
