Kathy Lynn Schock was born May 14, 1959 in Louisville, KY to Ernest and Alice Walden. She passed away in Taft, CA on March 27, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who lived a life full of love and faith.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Don Schock, her children, Bambi Schock and Don (Roia) Schock II, and her grandchildren, Noah Schock, Zaavan Schock, Hunter Wilson Schock, Haven Schock, and Declan Schock. She also leaves behind her brothers, Kevin Walden, Donald Walden, and Joe Walden. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Alice, and her beloved brother, Ralph Willard.
Kathy worked in food services at Taft College for 25 years. She also was a devoted member of the Westside Believers Fellowship for 30 years, where she served in the children’s church. She instilled in her family the importance of love, compassion, and service to others, always showing gratitude for the blessings in her life. Her faith was evident in her devotion to her family and her involvement in her church community.
As a mother, she was a constant source of support and love. As a grandmother, she delighted in the joy of her grandchildren. Her home was always a place of laughter and love, where all of Mamaw’s babies were welcomed and loved.
A viewing will be held on April 11, 2025, from 4-7 pm at Erickson & Brown Funeral Home. On April 12, 2025, there will be a memorial service to honor her faith and legacy at 11:30 am at Westside Believers Fellowship.
Kathy’s family finds comfort in knowing that she is healed and in the arms of Jesus, surrounded by eternal peace and love. Though she will be greatly missed, her faith and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
