Linda Sue Melton Folger

Linda Sue Melton Folger passed away in Santa Rosa, CA on October 10, 2015. Linda was 52 years old. Linda was born on March 21, 1963 in Taft, CA to Jerry and Judy Melton. She attended Taft Union High School. Linda later moved to Bakersfield where she ran her own daycare business. She later was employed at her parents family business, Jerry Melton & Sons Construction. For the last 3 years Linda resided in Fort Bragg, CA with her close companion, Scott Orey. They enjoyed watching Dodgers baseball and boating. Linda is survived by her parents, Jerry and Judy Melton; daughter, Teri Jones and husband Daniel; and two grandchildren, Camryn and Liam; also by her two step-sons, Chris and Ryan Folger. She is also survived by her brother, David Melton and wife, Kimberly; brother, Steve Melton and wife, Robyn; brother, Greg Melton and wife, Tabi; sister, Karen Havens and husband Steve; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Melton. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at Erickson & Brown Funeral Home, 501 Lucard St. Taft, CA on Monday, October 19, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A graveside funeral service will be held at West Side District Cemetery, 440 E Cedar St. Taft, CA on October 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
