Louis Harvis Price

Louis Harvis Price Sr. passed from this life Christmas Morning December 25, 2015 at home with his family by his side after a long battle with cancer. Louis, 61 years old, was born in Austin, Minnesota April 21, 1954 to Donald D. Price and Elizabeth Price. He was raised and educated throughout the mid west, settling in Taft in 1969. Louis married LouAnn Ruth Floyd at the Silver Bell Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas Nevada on November 16, 1980, then made their home in Taft where they spent most of their life. Louis was always up for any kind of challenge, whether it be tinkering on things with others or working on a task alone. His creative thinking allowed him to make or fix anything. He loved spending time with his friends & family, his Mom, siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His presence anywhere always brought smiles and laughter to everyone around him. His hobbies included camping, shooting and fishing. He was a great man loved by so many. Louis is predeceased by his his wife Lou Ann Ruth Price, his father Donald Dean Price Sr. He leaves behind his mother Elizabeth Price; son Louis Price Jr.; daughter Shacee Young (Josh); son Christopher Price (Lisa); daughter KT McKellar (Chris); and son David Cooper. Siblings: Vernon of Montana; Linda Stark (James) of Austin MN; Vance of Cheyenne, Wy; Robert (Terry) of Taft; Donald Jr. (Theresa) of Joplin, Mo; and Connie Merlak (Steven) of Milford, PA. Grandchildren: Louis Tyler Price; Roger James (RJ) Price; Zave Young; Seth Dodson; Elladee Young; Cheston Price; Kenna McKellar, Carlee McKeller, Tiffany Cooper, Katelyn Cooper and Cole Cooper. Nieces and nephews: Carrie Ilott (Brent); Mystie Barrett (Jeff); Robert Price Jr. (Alicia); Tyler Gill; Mathew Merlak; Sawyer Merlak; Kathy Stark; Alan Stark (Nancy); Vance Price Jr. (Shirley); Christine Schyma (Rich); Scott Price; Donald Price III (Ashley); 16 Great Nieces and Nephews and many friends. We want to thank his Optimal Hospice nurses, Phyllis, Lori, Stacy, Kim, Amanda and Kitty. We also want to thank the KMC Surgical, Chemo, Cath lab and Radiology staff: Dr Martin, Dr Arvizu, Dr Basmi, Dr Dhillon, Jennifer, Maria, Linda, Cara, Eileen, Monica, Carmen, Vicki, Melissa,Jesse, Yadyra, Satinder and Jessica. Louis will be greatly missed by anyone that had the pleasure of knowing this great man. He is forever in our hearts and memories. Until we meet again Son, Dad, Brother, Papa, and Uncle Louis! WE LOVE YOU!

Private Services will be held. In lieu of flowers Donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
