Margie Ellen Lemmons

Margie Ellen Lemmons died at home on December 27th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Lois Reeves, two brothers, Charles and Gerald Reeves, one sister, Ruth Ann Croy, and her eldest son, Michael Lemmons. She is survived by two sisters, Mozell Lemmons and Flora Mae Palmer and one brother, Jackie Reeves; her loving husband, Vernon Lemmons, son Dale Lemmons with his wife Lisa Lemmons; daughter Nina Neilson with her husband Mark Neilson; son Travis Lemmons with his wife Lucy Lemmons; son, Marvin Lemmons with his wife Carla Lemmons; son Daren with his wife Chrissy Lemmons, 23 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. She was the most loving, caring, compassionate person ever. A loving and devoted wife, and oh was she the best mother, she loved being a mother. Before becoming ill in her later years, she was very active in her church teaching Sunday School, leading in songs, and also secretarial work for her church. She was a mother and grandmother to more than her own.

There will be a viewing at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Wednesday, January 7th, 2025 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. A chapel service will be held at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Thursday, January 8th, from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. followed by a graveside service at the West Side District Cemetery at 11:30 A.M.
