Mary Ineta Davis

Mary "Ineta" (Roach, McGee) Davis, born July 7, 1944, in Sherman, Texas, passed away on November 17, 2023, in Bakersfield California. She was 79 years old.

Ineta was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a dedicated Christian woman who lived her life in devotion to God.

Ineta moved to California as a young child and lived her entire adult life in Taft. Ineta worked in the Taft High School Cafeteria where she retired after more than 20 years of service. Ineta enjoyed horse-back riding with her husband and participated in numerous parades, including Oildorado, and other events with her horses.

Ineta is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Mary Roach, her brothers, Johnny Roach and Jimmy Roach, her sister, Doris (Roach) Emmitt and her first husband, Dale McGee.

She is survived by her husband, Geral Davis, her daughters, Charlotte (McGee) Murch, and Ethele (Davis) Barron, her son, Gerald Davis, her brothers, Andrew Roach, Wayne Roach and Dwayne Roach, her sister, Marilyn (Roach) Santos and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday, December 4, 2023, at 1:00pm at Westside Cemetery, 440 E. Cedar Street, Taft, CA

Ineta will be remembered for her deep devotion, and she will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
