Mary Lyn Skinner

Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Friday, September 16, 2016, at 10:30 am for former Taft resident, Mary Lyn Skinner, 76. Bishop Sterling Bryan of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taft Ward will conduct the services. Mrs. Skinner was born in Bakersfield on Dec. 25, 1939 and passed away on September 2, 2016 in Prescott Valley, AZ under the care of Hospice & Tina's Place. Mrs. Skinner was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Desk & Derrick and served on the Board of the ARC & Native Daughters, Miocene Parlor of Taft. Mrs. Skinner was preceded in death by her parents, Onis and Lucille Watts and her lifelong friend, Roberta Griffin. She is survived by her husband, Gifford Skinner of Prescott Valley, AZ; one daughter, Judy and her husband, Gordon Karrer of Prescott Valley; two sons, Jay and his wife, Shawnia Patno of Lovington, NM and Douglas Patno of Prescott, AZ; two brothers and their wives, Albert and Earlene Watts of Terra Bella and John and Julie Watts of Bakersfield; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. No visitation hours are scheduled and services are under the direction of Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
