Nancy was born in Alhambra, California on February 19, 1937 and moved to Taft, California in 1980. Her goal was to reach students and that she did with her long teaching career. She retired from Midway School in 1998. She touched many lives. She battled cancer with grace and dignity and fought cancer until the very end with her very strong will. She loved her sorority sisters of Delta Sigma and would meet with them at least once a year. She is now in heaven with her loving husband and son. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus and son, Mark. She leaves behind her daughter Patti Moon and son-in-law, Brent; granddaughter, Ashley Johns and her husband, Justin; grandson, Matt Moon and his wife, Danielle; granddaughters, Alison Moon and Kelby Langkilde; and great-grandsons, Carver Johns, Brody Johns, and Preston Moon; great-granddaughters, Audrey Johns and Brittain Moon; her brother Dick Klein and his wife, Carolyn; and nephew Rick Klein. She lives behind so many friends. Thank you to all the friends that sat with her and kept her company these last few weeks. Also, many thanks for all the prayers and meals. She was truly loved by many. We also want to thank her Optimal Hospice nurses, Kim, Phylis, Lori, Stacy and Kitty. She loved you all very much. She loved the Lord with all her heart and led many people to the Lord. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Optimal Hospice and/or dedicate one Sunday a month to go to church. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and again on Thursday, November 19, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
