Pearl Garcia Obituary

A Devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taft, followed by Mass of Christian Burial for longtime Taft resident, Pearl Garcia, 97. Burial will be in the West Side District Cemetery after the Mass. Pearl was born on January 11, 1919 in Clarkdale, Arizona and passed away in Taft on October 22, 2016. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Her life was well lived and she loved her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gabe Garcia; her grandsons, Domenic Garcia and Escoffier DeVeaux; her sister, Olivia Stieger and her son-in-law, James C. Lipscomb. Mrs. Garcia is survived by her children and their families, Loretta Lipscomb and her daughters, Elizabeth Howard (husband Lance and their children, Sarah and Ian), and Jessica Gehle (husband John and their children, Julia and James); Elizabeth and Terry Parks and their children, Daniel (wife Suzanne and their daughters, Kayla and Gabriella), Nicole Parks and Michelle Barberini (husband John and their sons Patrick, Chase and John Terry); Richard and Lucette Garcia and their children, Gabriel (wife Brittany and their children Gianna, Soleil and Richard), Maria Myers (husband Monte and their daughter, Katherine), Alisa Williams (husband Heath and their children, Grace and Matthew), and Anna Garcia; Mary Garcia; Theresa and Darryl DeVeaux and their grandson, Malik DeVeaux; Patricia and Timothy Zumbro and their children, Camille, Alexander and Emma; Catherine and Steven Brookshire and their children, Isaiah, (wife Sonya and son Elliott), Isabella Malfo (husband Joseph), Gabrielle, Nathanael and Elias Brookshire. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
