Robert "Bob" Conners

Robert "Bob" Conners was born June 1, 1931 in Taft, CA to James and Loraine Conners. He left this life for his eternal home on July 17, 2016 surrounded by his loving wife and family. We're certain Dad is singing Oh Danny Boy in Heaven.

Bob graduated from Taft Union High School in 1949 and on June 30, 1951 married his sweetheart, Lorene Paine. They spent the last 18 years living in Arroyo Grande where they enjoyed weekly lunches with friends, breakfasts and dinners at the Elks, and overnight visitors from out of town.

Dad celebrated his 85th birthday June 1, 2016 with his family and his 65th wedding anniversary on June 30, 2016 with his sweet wife, Lorene. One of Dad's greatest joys was playing golf, which he was able to do up until the time of his passing.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James Conners, and his best golf buddy, Herman. He is survived by his wife, Lorene and their sweet puppy, Coco, Jim and Brenda Conners, Gene Conners and April Ashmore, Bobby and Malinda Conners, Andrea and Travis Botts, Michelle and Todd Engle and his very special grandchildren and great grand babies.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016 in the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bob's favorite organization, Rotary Club of Taft Foundation at P.O. Box 717, Taft, CA 93268. Any member who does not sing along to God Bless America next Wednesday at Rotary will be fined $10.00!
