Born in Corpus Christi, TX, he moved to Taft in 1966 and was drafted to Vietnam in November of 1968 to October of 1973. He served two tours in Vietnam. When he came back to Taft in 1973 he met the love of his life and married Linda Gayle Kendrick and they were married for 35 years. He was a loving and proud father of 4 daughters: Starla and Mark Larsen of Taft, Rachel and Robert McDaniels of Texas, Magin and Jason Carter of Ventura, Crystal and Julio Rodela of Taft. They had 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. His siblings Kendrick Jr., Virgil and Debbie, Donald and Rebel, Johnny and Deborah, Alvin and Janine, Michael and Jodi, Becky Fambrough. My dad loved to coach his daughters in softball and taught them how to pitch. He taught his daughters to skate, drive, and be very independent. My dad was very honest, hard-working and very generous and helped all his family members; he was a giver. He loved to spend time with his family. He valued his family in his life. He is preceded in death by his wife Linda Gayle Kendrick of 35 years, wife and Dixie Kendrick – 5 years and his parents Irene and Kenneth Kendrick.
