Shirley Mobley

Shirley Faye Mobley was born in Alabama on June 22, 1937 and passed away in Bakersfield on September 29, 2015. Mrs. Mobley moved to Taft in 1950 and was a Taft businesswoman for many years. She owned and operated S.J. Mobley Auto Sales, Shir-rells Clothing Outlet and the Sears Store all located on Center Street. She was preceded in death by her first husband, S.J. Mobley; her second husband, Darrell Dooley; her daughter, Marsha Houchin; her brothers, Cecil, Frank, Walt, Bill and Danny O'Dell and by her sisters, Fran Wells, Willie Lay, Ann Royal and Carol Hays. Mrs. Mobley is survived by her daughter, Denise Mobley, her son, Jason Mobley; her sister, Mary Barker and five grandchildren. Friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home. No formal funeral services are scheduled and burial will be private in the West Side District Cemetery.
